Job Description
This is an exciting role in which Silicon Valley meets Wall Street. You will have a keen interest in, and understanding of finance, industries, and the economy. You will use your knowledge to undertake industry analysis and develop investing/trading strategies. In so doing you will work closely with fellow analysts, data scientists and engineers. You will be highly detail oriented, have excellent research skills, and be eager to learn new skills.
We are interested in candidates who can work full time during the holidays and/or part time throughout the term/semester.
Key Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related field (in process)
- Experience in an economic or financial analysis role
- Keen analytical, problem-solving, and statistical skills
- Familiarity with analytical tools, python and R
- Quick thinker, proactive, and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously is essential
- Impeccable written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfort with ambiguity, and able to adjust deadlines to meet ad hoc requests
- Familiarity with economies, stock markets and business financials
